It represents diverse groups and organizations committed to community action. Audience: Middle School - High School students; Higher Education; Educators Types of Information Offered: While the CDC is a community based organization, they are interested in "forging links with like-minded groups and individuals nationally and internationally". Background: The Center for Research on Education Diversity and Excellence<http://www.crede.ucsc.edu/home.html> focuses on critical issues in the education of linguistic and cultural minority students and those placed at risk by factors of race, poverty, and geographic location. Researchers from universities around the United States are working together to "design, develop and disseminate a comprehensive curricular and instructional framework that is strong, flexible, and inclusive of diversity among all individuals and communities".
