Peter McLaren is one of the most influential
representative of critical pedagogy, both nationally and internationally.
A major exponent of the work of the late Paulo Freire, McLaren
is considered one the nation's leading critical educational theorists.
His work covers a wide range of topics, from film criticism, to
hip-hop, to the pedagogy of Che Guevara. His writing have been
translated into eleven languages. McLaren is a professor at the
Graduate School of Education and Information Studies at the University
of California, Los Angeles.
